After nearly five years on LJ, I decided to make the switch over here to Blogspot. LJ's become too commercial, and the Evil Russian Overlords (no offense to the general Russian populace intended) are not wonderful like Our Evil Overlord King Prat (go google Merlin and I'll Be The Platform Shoes for the ace fic this is from). There was the Strikeout of 08 and the other generally unfriendly behavior towards fandom. And those stupid Writer's Block things made me want to smash things.
Yes, Blogspot is at least related to Google, and yes, Google is a major corporation. But the ads aren't obtrusive, I haven't heard about people being deleted en masse, and my experiences with other Google services (Gmail, Google Docs, GTalk, etc.) have always been great.
So, I'm here, probably to stay.
So, I maybe also have a blogspot? (This is Chris, and you get to see all my emo shite that I don't post to LJ, lucky you!)
